Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has called on world and institutional leaders to exhibit exemplary conduct and selflessness in their service to humanity.
Shaibu made the remarks Sunday, shortly after the annual convention of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria Camp Ground in Benin City.
The Edo State number two citizen who was received with a resounding ovation noted: “my message to the world as part of the 45th annual main convention of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria is to know the truth and abide with it. That’s the only way God can set us free”.
“One of the most critical parts of our lives today, is to know the truth and say the truth. As people of God and followers of Jesus, we must follow the truth, in order to be free from damnation”.
“This 45th annual main convention of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, will usher in peace, love and moral consciousness in Edo State and Nigeria in general”, Shaibu added.
Speaking earlier, the Territory Chairman, Apostolic Church of Nigeria,Pastor Dr. S.G.O Uyeh, said his message to the people of God was to live in the house of God and believe in Him.
“People should not be far from the house of God, because of the immense benefits in serving God in truth and righteousness”.
“We need to be truthful in whatever we do in Nigeria, the government is sabotaging the truth. Let the people raise up the truth, as the Bible has said; find the truth, I sell it not, he added.”
However, intercessory prayers were made by the congregation for Shaibu’s victory in the upcoming Edo Governorship Election.
