Despite their triumph over the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, Jose Peseiro believes the Super Eagles need to maintain their humility.

With a 1-0 victory over the host country at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the three-time champions made a strong comeback.

During the game, the Super Eagles put up a tough performance to highlight their championship credentials.

Peseiro said that his squad still needs to put in a lot of effort to win the competition and reach their goal.

“Now we must eat well, rest and focus on the next game. It’s not the time to start celebrating,” Peseiro said during his interaction with the media after the game.

“We have a game against Guinea-Bissau which we have to win. We have to be ready for them,” he said.

The encounter against the Djurtus will take place at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, next Monday.
