Former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo is rooting for the Super Eagles to beat hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

The Elephants and Super Eagles will battle in one of the heavyweight contests at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday.

The hosts won their opening fixture 2-0 against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles on the other hand held Equatorial Guinea to a 1-1 draw.

Kanu has predicted a Nigeria victory at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium.

“All the teams fear Nigeria,” the two-time CAF Player of the Year told reporters.

“We believe we have a team of top talents who have a good chance against Cote d’Ivoire in their next game.
