President Bola Tinubu stated on Thursday that democracy needs to be inclusive and progressive, with a key goal of combating poverty by giving young people access to employment possibilities and ensuring that all Nigerian children receive a top-notch education.
During his meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday in Lagos, Tinubu stated his support for the creation of the National Institute of Progressive Studies.
The President stated that the Institute is supposed to do thorough research, teach democratic and good administration to all party members, and give the party a unique character.
”Democracy has faced challenges in the past, but I believe in a promising future for our country. We will deliver it.
“I am committed to supporting a strong and ideologically determined democracy that is progressive, inclusive, and focused on eliminating poverty while providing quality education for our children.
”Collaboration with various government arms is crucial, and I commend the leadership of our party for working hard to promote these essential ideals,” the President stated.
