The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has paid a condolence visit to Dorothy Alli, widow of the late former COAS, Major General Chris Alli (retd.), at his Osborne Foreshore Estate residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Photos from the visit were shared on the Facebook page of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday.
According to the statement which accompanied the photos, Lagbaja was accompanied by some top brass of the Nigerian Army, during the visit on Wednesday.
The statement partly read, “Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a bouquet of flowers to the widow and signing of the condolence register in honour of the late COAS.”
Alli died in the early hours of Sunday November 19, 2023, after a brief illness at the Military Hospital Lagos.
All Nigerian Army formations and units across the country are currently on a three-day mourning to honour the late COAS.
