Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has promised that his squad will win against Zimbabwe on Sunday after a dismal 1-1 draw at home against Lesotho.
After failing to overcome Lesotho at home on Thursday, the West Africans are anxious to get their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign back on track.
Peseiro and his team have an opportunity to redeem themselves against Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium in Butare.
The Portuguese stated that they will go all out for a win against their hosts.
“We will respond very well (vs Zimbabwe),” the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach told reporters.
“Now we have to beat Zimbabwe on Sunday.”
The game will commence at 2 pm Nigeria time.
