Wike vs Fubara Case: PDP Governors Gather in Abuja for Emergency Meeting | METROWATCH

The governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met in Abuja on Tuesday evening for an emergency meeting.

The conference was called in response to the present issue in Rivers State, where certain members of the state house of assembly have begun attempts to impeach Sim Fubara, the governor elected on the PDP platform.

The PDP governors are now in Abuja at the Oyo State Governors Lodge for an emergency meeting.

Metrowatchxta.com reports that some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly attempted to impeach Fubara between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Some of the PDP governors sighted on arrival include Fubara, Bala Mohammed, Bauchi, Caleb Muftwang, Plateau, Dauda Lawal, Zamfara, and Ahmadu Fintiri, Adamawa.

Others are Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Agbu Kefas, Taraba, Godwin Obaseki, Edo and Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta.

Members of the party’s National Working Committee, led by Acting Chairman, Iliya Damagum, have also arrived for the meeting.
