In an unexpected change of events, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has stated that he respects the Appeal Court’s decision to uphold Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s election as the legitimately elected senatorial candidate of her district.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan represents Kogi Central Senatorial District.
Natasha Bello, who attended the National Police Council meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa Abuja that approved Kayode Egbetokun as substantive Inspector General of Police, was identified as Bello’s sister.
He said it was necessary for him to accept the court verdict to avoid a breakdown of law and order in the state.
