Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, aka Kick Against Indiscipline, have dispersed street traders on drainage alignments and walkways in Lekki.
The spokesperson for the state’s Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Kunle Adeshina, disclosed this on his X handle on Tuesday.
According to him, this action followed notices earlier served to the traders.
Their stalls were demolished, and their wares were also confiscated by the state’s officials.
His caption read, “Operatives of the LAGESC/KAI on Monday dispersed street traders on drainage alignment, set back, and walkways at Chevron Drive, Wale Hammed Avenue, Lekki, demolishing shanties and confiscating the wares of the traders after abatement notices had been served.”
