Some Nigerians took to social media to knock reality TV star, Tacha Akide, over her attire during a visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa.
Tacha shared a video of her meeting with the caption, “Had an INCREDIBLE Evening with CP IDOWU Owohunwa, discussing ways to improve policing and how the Nigeria Police can better serve the people of Nigeria!”, on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday.
Reacting to her outfit, an X user with the handle orch99 commented, “So you chose to wear this outfit to meet the CP, and he didn’t do anything, but other girls who dress similarly get harassed by his officers on the streets. Alright, then.”
Another user, Suzzypeters, remarked, “Don’t you know how to dress for an official meeting or event? Take a cue from Regina.”
“You wore this kind of attire to discuss better policing. The police commissioner seems to be enjoying it,” noted X user, Milistainless.
Billy_Euro wrote, “Look at what you wore to a police event… Is this attire suitable for an official gathering? Some of you lack common sense.”
Another user, RealTobiAkinbo, commented, “So now you’re the new Segalink, right? You’ve joined their clique, no wonder you recently suggested that protesters should seek permission from the police before protesting… the same police who have brutalized and killed innocent citizens with impunity.”
In support of Tacha, X user Alvinuzor stated, “Seeing Tacha’s growth is inspiring, especially when you reflect on where she started and where she is now. Big T.”
