Inter Miami will be without Lionel Messi for their MLS clash against Orlando City on Sunday, ahead of the Open Cup final on Wednesday.
Messi picked up a knock while away on international duty with Argentina.
However, after missing the 5-2 defeat at Atlanta last Saturday, he returned to play just 37 minutes against Toronto.
Messi missed Miami’s training session on Friday, and head coach Tata Martino has confirmed that the Argentina captain will remain unavailable on Sunday.
Messi is reportedly dealing with a “scar” injury that Martino said “is bothersome.”
He said: “I don’t know if it hurts. I can’t really explain, as it’s more of a medical topic. It‘s probable it bothers him (Messi) to the point, including mentally, that he isn’t able to play freely.”
