Despite boxing fans’ desire for an all-British contest between the two heavyweights, Tyson Fury has expressed no interest in facing Anthony Joshua.
Fury called Joshua a “big bum-dosser” who was beaten by a “fat man,” and said their fight was “dead in the water” after AJ’s second loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
The Gypsy King, who will face Francis Ngannou in a highly anticipated crossover match in Saudi Arabia next month, says he’d rather fight Jon Jones.
Fury told Mail Sport that he is only interested in fights that would make him a lot of money and that facing an American like Jones has more promise than fighting AJ.
Eddie Hearn, on the other hand, disputed such reports and stated that there is’massive’ money available for an all-British match between AJ and the Gypsy King.
Fury told Mail Sport exclusively: ‘I don’t really care what he says. In my perspective, he is a jerk. He’s basically a huge jerk who’s been knocked out three times.
He’s been knocked out twice and had three defeats. He can no longer compete in my league. I’m not even thinking about a battle anymore. I’m not even curious.
‘That bubble has been burst. His virginity has been taken away so it’s not interesting for me anymore. He’s been spanked by Usyk twice and been beaten by a fat man. So it’s not in my interest to beat him.
‘I am fighting a guy who is in his prime, who is a champion, who is bigger than him, who is stronger than him and who is a bigger knockout puncher than him.
‘He needs to get to the back of the queue. That fight is gone, it’s dead. That fight was off the cards as soon as he got beaten.’
Fury and Joshua had been locked in talks over a Battle of Britain bout last year but discussions broke down after the Gypsy King grew impatient waiting for AJ to sign the contract.
