The Serie A team Fiorentina set a deadline for the midfielder’s transfer, giving Manchester United until Friday to finalize a deal.
Amrabat and Man United have reached a personal agreement on a transfer to Old Trafford, but the Red Devils have not yet made a proposal for the Moroccan international.
This is a result of Man United’s summertime failure to sell players like Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay.
The Premier League heavyweights cannot approve any new signings while Erik ten Hag’s team is still treading carefully on the Financial Fair Play line.
But Man United’s need for midfield reinforcements has only strengthened in the last 24 hours after Mason Mount was ruled out until mid-September with an injury he picked up in the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
With just over a week left in the summer transfer window, Fiorentina is open to selling Amrabat for a fee of £30 million.
But they will not let him go without time to find a replacement, and according to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina will not listen to offers for Amrabat past Friday this week.
