Wike Nyesom, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has refuted claims that he drives an N300 million bulletproof automobile for work purposes.

There have been rumors that Wike just received a pricey bulletproof automobile with the license plate “FCT 01” worth N300 million.

Wike, the FCT Minister, disagreed with the allegations, claiming that the automobile he is driving is not bulletproof, in an interview with media in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said as Governor of Rivers State, he used a bulletproof car, but not anymore as minister.

Wike said, “We can see what is going on social media; how they bought a bulletproof car of N300 million that I’m using. So, I want you people to go and hit your hands there [on the car] and see really whether it is a treated car.

“With all due respect, people should be careful not to destroy others.

“When I came [into the office], the Permanent Secretary said they had a car for us. So, I have never approved any car to be bought and I’m not using an official bulletproof vehicle.

“I have bulletproof cars as governor, but I’m not using bulletproof car as FCT Minister.”
