President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with some key stakeholders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Abuja, following the suspension of Niger Republic from the African Union (AU).
METROWATCHXTRA.COM reports that the AU on Tuesday afternoon suspended the former French colony from the Union after the military authorities in July ousted the democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum from office.
Present at the ongoing meeting are the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Omar Touray; leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
