Former President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Zimbabwe in advance of the country’s upcoming elections.
Zimbabweans will go to the polls on August 23 to pick new leaders.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, Jonathan stated that he landed in Harare on Saturday ahead of the elections.
The former President stated that he led other members of the Joint African Union (AU), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Mission to Zimbabwe to witness the elections, and that he was looking forward to a rewarding experience.
“I thank the Zimbabwean Government, the AU and COMESA as well as Ambassador Zachariah Ifu and other officials of Nigerian High Commission, for a warm reception,” he stated.
