Festus Keyamo, the newly appointed minister of aviation and aerospace development, has pledged to keep President Bola Tinubu happy.
Keyamo said so as he expressed gratitude to the President for putting him in a ministry.
Tweeting, Keyamo wrote: “Thank you, Mr. President. On my honour, I promise not to disappoint.”
During the most recent administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Keyamo served as the ministry’s minister of labor and employment.
There was a commotion in the Senate during his screening, which prompted an executive session.
A point of order was brought up by Labor Party senator Darlinghton Nwokocha, who represents the Abia Central Senatorial District.
Nwokocha described how Keyamo prevented the House of Representatives Committee from doing its oversight duty on the amount of N52 billion granted to his Ministry. He did this in front of the senate.
After stating this, he moved to delay the showing of Keyamo in accordance with legislative regulations.
However, Keyamo later apologized to the Senate.
