Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has detailed the altercation he had with Erling Haaland after their 3-0 victory against Burnley on Friday.
At Turf Moor, the Premier League champions kicked off the new season in impressive fashion thanks to Haaland’s two goals in the first half.
Guardiola, though, was spotted engaged in a contentious argument with the Norway striker as the two sides made their way to the locker rooms.
After the game, Guardiola revealed what transpired.
He said: “He wanted the ball in behind to him, and that ball hasn’t to be in behind. Sometimes you have to be patient to find the right moment.
“He was not frustrated, I am not frustrated. In football it happens. Don’t be dramatic.”
