At least four nations have qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is now taking place in Australia and New Zealand.
The four nations are Japan, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
After defeating South Africa and the United States on Sunday, respectively, the Netherlands and Sweden were the most recent nations to secure their spots in the quarterfinal round.
This follows the conclusion of the Round of 16 games on Sunday.
According to metrowatchxtra.com newspaper , Sweden overcame the United States on penalties after the game finished in a 0-0 stalemate after 120 minutes, while the Netherlands defeated South Africa 2-0.
Since then, Spain and Japan have reserved their spots in Saturday’s last eight.
On Monday, a further Round of 16 games will be played.
Australia will face off against Denmark, while Nigeria will face off against England.
