After the Blues defeated Fulham to win the Premier League Summer Series championship, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino praised two Chelsea players.
Thiago Silva and Christopher Nkunku scored as Chelsea defeated Fulham 2-0 to win the title in America.
After the game, Pochettino praised his Argentinean teammate Enzo Fernandez.
He also reserved praise for lan Maatsen.
“Always it is a pleasure [to have Fernandez],” the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain boss said
“He is very humble, he is a fighter also and is a fantastic player, world champion with Argentina and I am so proud.
“It is a pleasure when you have a player like him in the squad.”
On Maatsen he added, “I am so happy because his performance didn’t change.”
