Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, is prepared to sell at least six of his players before the summer transfer window closes in order to fund a £30 million deal for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
Man United has already strengthened Ten Hag’s squad this summer with the acquisitions of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Red Devils are also close to completing a deal for Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund, although Ten Hag remains interested in bringing in a new midfielder.
Manchester United were connected with a bid for Declan Rice before Arsenal bought him from West Ham.
Ten Hag, on the other hand, is known to be a fan of Amrabat, having previously worked with the Moroccan international at Utrecht.
According to The Guardian, Manchester United’s pursuit of Amrabat is contingent on player sales, with Ten Hag willing to allow the exits of Donny van de Beek, Harry Maguire, Dean Henderson, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, and Fred.
