Nigeria’s Super Falcons on Thursday beat Australia, the co-hosts of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, 3-2, in Brisbane.

Nigeria’s senior female team got the better of their opponents in a thrilling encounter on Thursday afternoon.

After going behind to the Aussies, the players showed great spirits to come back and beat their opponents.

The result sends the Super Falcons to the top of Group ‘B’ but tied on points with the Canadians and looking set to land in the Second Round after their last group match against Northern Ireland.
