Tembu Ebere, a Nigerian man who attempted to cry for 100 hours to set the Guinness World Record, has gone blind.
In an interview with the BBC, Ebere confirmed his health situation, saying he began to have terrible headaches, puffy eyes, and a bloated face from continual sobbing before turning briefly blind for 45 minutes.
“I had to re-strategize and reduce my wailing,” he said of his vow to cry for one week nonstop.
Ebere expressed his desire to participate in a seven-day cry-a-thon in a popular post accompanied with a flier on social media a few days ago.
