Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for Al Nasr, has asserted that the Saudi Pro League is superior to Major League Soccer (MLS).
Only a few days have passed since Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s enduring rival, joined Inter Miami.
Messi turned off a transfer to Saudi Arabia, where he would have resumed his battle with Ronaldo, and instead departed Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent this summer.
However, Ronaldo insists he made the better choice, pointing to players flocking to the Middle East as proof.
“Saudi league is better than MLS.
“I opened the way to the Saudi league… and now all the players are coming here,” Ronaldo said.
