Arsenal has promised West Ham that the final paperwork for Declan Rice’s move will be completed by Friday.
Rice is expected to join Arsenal in a deal for up to £105 million, including add-ons.
The England midfielder has been practicing in Portugal while waiting for the transfer to be finalized.
The 24-year-old did not play in Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Nurnberg on Thursday and did not appear in West Ham’s midweek friendly against Boreham Wood.
Sky Sports reports that West Ham has been guaranteed that the necessary documentation would be “delivered and signed” on Friday.
Rice is anticipated to be signed by the time Mikel Arteta’s side departs for a pre-season tour of the United States.
