A first-class graduate of the University of Ibadan (UI), Opuofoni Freeborn Ebimotimi, was yesterday killed by angry mob for allegedly stealing bread. The incident occured at Honeyhill Tombia, Bayelsa State.

Ebimotimi, who hails from Korokorosei community in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (LGA) of Bayelsa State, studied Business Administration at UI.

According to reports, he was beaten to death by the angry youths for allegedly stealing a bread in the area.

Pleas by neighbors and friends who rushed to the scene with an offer to pay for the bread in full and even more fell on deaf ears as the angry youths declined and killed him.

Idisemi, the younger sister to the deceased said life has been unfair to them since the demise of their father adding that she has no idea of what led her brother to steal bread as they are already used to the hardship of life.
