Former Nigeria U-20 and U-17 coach John Obuh has encouraged Napoli striker Victor Osimhen not to accept a deal that is longer than two years.
Obuh feels Osimhen has enough time to replicate his goal-scoring achievement for Napoli last season, unlike certain players who have moved to Saudi Arabia amid speculation connecting him with a move away from the Serie A champions this summer.
He urges Osimhen, who has been connected with Manchester United, PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich, to ignore demands for him to move to Saudi Arabia.
“He [Victor Osimhen] has opportunities to build an empire for himself,” Obuh told Brila FM.
“Osimhen has time, unlike those going to Saudi [Arabia]. Let him repeat the goal-scoring feat that he had last season.
“Let the next contract that he will sign not be long – not more than two years. If he can do that, people will say Osimhen has arrived.”
