The General Overseer, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Lazarus Muoka, says adherence to the scriptural injunction on work accompanying one’s faith will help to create a hospitable society.
The preacher spoke on Thursday, at the Church workers’ monthly session at its headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting drew members from the regional branches of the Church, to educate them on what was expected of them as workers in God’s vineyard.
Muoka, while addressing the workers, said that one’s work, especially to the good and welfare of others, paved way for one’s success in life and also rents an abode in heaven.
According to him, those that work in the Lord’s vineyard have special functions to perform for God, humanity and society.
“In your community, always apply yourself to functions, tasks and services that can bring joy to others, to give especially the poor reason to live.
“It is your works that speak for you, your faith and belief in varying ways to earn you and your faith the needed respect and project one to eternity.
“As a rich man, use what God has blessed you with to reach out to others that do not have, in order to reduce strife in the land.
“Those in the hospital and in solitary confinements with challenges should be our responsibility to put smiles on their faces through our goodwill,” he said.
The preacher described self centeredness as ungodly, admonishing people to cater for one another, to reduce afflictions that put humanity into jeopardy.
He appealed to state authorities to discharge their functions with the people at heart, to alleviate their sufferings.(NAN)
