Ejimeme Joy Mmesoma has been prohibited from taking the exam for three years by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) due to a dispute surrounding her test results.
The spokesman for JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, revealed this in a statement on Monday.
He claims that the Board stands by its determination that the applicant is using a phony result.
Remember how Mmesoma claimed to have gotten a 362-point score, but JAMB pointed out that she really had a 249.
On social media, people had different opinions on the matter, but according to JAMB, Mmesoma had broken several serious rules.
“The Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named ‘Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle’, who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.
“In the meantime, the management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with its established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years.”
