On Monday, Nuhu Ribadu formally succeeded Maj Gen Monguno in his role as a national security adviser.
Ribadu had been named NSA last week by President Bola Tinubu. Prior to his present post, he served as Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Security.
Ribadu commended Tinubu for reawakening hopes for a more secure country and pledged to live up to Nigerians’ aspirations.
Recall that Ribadu, a former police officer, was the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
