The Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) on Friday elected Mr. Blessing Agbebaku as the new Speaker of the state parliament.
Agbebaku represents Owan West constituency in the 24-member House.
The House also elected Mrs Maria Edeko, member representing Esan North-East II constituency, as Deputy Speaker.
Their emergence on Friday followed the proclamation and inauguration of the 8th Edo Assembly by the state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki.
