President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight Special Advisers (SAs) to serve in various capacities under his administration.
The appointment was contained in a statement on Thursday endorsed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information, in the State House, Abuja.
Those appointed include: Mr. Dele Alake, Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications and Strategy; Mr. Yau Darazo, Special Adviser, Political and Intergovernmental Affairs; Mr. Wale Edun, Special Adviser, Monetary Policies; and Mrs. Olu Verheijen, Special Adviser, Energy.
Others are Mr. Zachaeus Adedeji, Special Adviser, Revenue; Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, Special Adviser, Security; Mr. John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu, Special Adviser, Industry, Trade and Investment; and Dr Salma Ibrahim Anas, Special Adviser, Health.
Recall that the Senate had on Tuesday, June 6 approved the request by President Tinubu, to appoint 20 Special Advisers to run the affairs of government, pending the appointment of Ministers.
This followed the consideration of the letter of request from the President to the then 9th Senate, read on the floor of the upper legislative chamber by the then Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
