Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has warned Leone Stars that they would make life tough for his team.
On Sunday, the Leone Stars will face the three-time African champions in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia.
Last June, the Super Eagles came from behind to defeat Sierra Leone 2-1.
Both prior meetings between the two sides ended in draws.
Peseiro stated that his team needed to be at their best to beat their opponent.
“It will be a difficult game,” the Portuguese stated.
“In the last three matches against Sierra Leone, we drew two and only won the last meeting last year in Abuja.
“Sierra Leone are a good team and they only beat us to stand a chance of qualifying for the AFCON.
“We, therefore, have to be at our best organisation and commitment and play a collective game against them.”
