Member-elect representing Orhionmwon East Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Osamwonyi Atu, has condoled with the family of Edokpayi of Evbuobanosa over the death of their patriarch.

The deceased, Late Pa William Enaghabun Edokpayi, was, until his demise, the Odionwere of Evbuobanosa village in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Wednesday, in Benin City, Atu expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Council of Elders and the entire people of Evbuobanosa village.

He equally commiserated with the children of the deceased and entire Edokpayi family on the demise of their patriarch whom he described as a “worthy father.”

“Odionwere departure is a huge loss not only to the children but to the entire Evbuobanosa Village,” the Edo lawmaker-elect said.

“Personally, Odionwere’s death is a great loss to me, because he proved to be a worthy father and had been so supportive with moral advice and prayers throughout my visit to Evbuobanosa during and after my election.

“His words of advice and guidance were always golden and helpful.

“It is my prayer that God accepts his soul and uphold everyone and everything he left behind,” the statement concluded.
