Benjamin Kalu, member representing Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, has been elected the Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
Kalu, immediate-past spokesperson for the 9th House of Representatives, was returned elected after his nomination by Rep. Babajimi (APC, Lagos) unopposed.
He will deputise Tajudeen Abbas who was earlier elected as Speaker. Both Kalu and Abbas had the backing of their party, the APC and President Bola Tinubu in the contest.
