The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Oluwatomiwa Omolewa, the former secretary of the defunct Park Management System (PMS), as the new PMS chairman.
Omolewa will replace the sacked embattled erstwhile chairman of the PMS, Mukaila Lamidi, alias Auxillary, who has since gone into hiding to evade police arrest after being declared wanted.
In a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, on Sunday, Kasali Lawal, alias Baba Bola, will now serve as the new secretary.
According to him, the new appointments are in line with the state government’s restructure of the PMS, and the new management team includes representatives from all of the key factions in the transport union.
Members of the management team are the Deputy Chairman, Tajudeen Jimoh; Treasurer, Kamardeen Idowu; Financial Secretary, Tirimisiyu Olowoposi; Organising Secretary, Abass Amolese; and Auditor, Hamidu Mustapha Were.
Others include Abideen Ejiogbe, First Vice-Chairman; Ganiyu Mojeed, First Trustee; Musa Alubankudi, Second Trustee; Akinsola Tokyo, Second Auditor; and Wasiu Emiola, Public Relations Officer.
Meanwhile, Governor Makinde has ordered the reopening of the parks, which had been closed since the collapse of the PMS Disciplinary Committee led by Auxillary.
