Nigerian cook, Hilda Baci, from Akwa-Ibom, has taken to Twitter to lament the delay by the Guinness World Records in certifying her ‘cook-a-thon’ record.

Recall that Baci, 26, embarked on the cooking marathon in an attempt to break the world record for the longest cooking time by an individual.

The title is currently held by an Indian cook, Lata Tondon.

Baci cooked 100 hours non-stop for four days, surpassing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Tondon on Monday, May 15.

But weeks later, her landmark achievement is yet to be officially certified by the Guinness World Records as a record.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Baci lamented that she had submitted all the evidence and has been refreshing her email constantly for the latest response from GWR.

“Not me refreshing my email every second since we submitted all the evidence to Guinness World Records,” she tweeted.

In response to Baci’s outcry on Twitter, the Records said their team is currently reviewing the evidence before it.

According to GWR, the team needs to review all the evidence before it first before officially confirming a record.

“Our records team is working on it,” the official Twitter handle of Guinness World Records (GWR) replied to Baci’s tweet.
