Lagos was on Tuesday morning thrown into a state of confusion as officials of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) prevented officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), from gaining access to their office in Ikoyi.
It was gathered that the DSS officials positioned an armoured tank at the entrance to the EFCC office to prevent entry and to scare the EFCC operatives away.
Sources in both agencies said there has been an ongoing rivalry between both agencies over the ownership of the building currently used by EFCC as its office.
As of the time of this report, all the EFCC officials at the office in Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, were prevented from accessing their offices by the armed DSS officials.
