According to President Muhammadu Buhari, he is deeply saddened by the plight of kidnapped children.
Additionally, Buhari stated that the security services were working nonstop to ensure their release.
This was said by Buhari on Sunday during his farewell broadcast before the May 29 transfer to the next administration.
On Monday, the President, who was inaugurated in 2015 and reelected in 2019, will pass over power to Bola Tinubu.
“I still grieve for our children still in captivity, mourn with parents, friends, and relatives of all those that lost loved ones in the days of the senseless brigandage and carnage.
“For all those under unlawful captivity, our security agencies are working round the clock to secure their release unharmed,” Buhari said.
