Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, a Nigerian dancer and World Guinness Record holder, has disclosed the reasons for Guinness World Records’ apparent delay in validating Hilda Baci’s record.
Metrowatch previously reported that Guinness World Records announced on Monday that it will conduct reviews before officially recognizing Nigerian chef Hilda Baci’s record-breaking cooking session.
Speaking on the apparent delay in Guinness World Records, Kaffy, who established the Guinness World Record for “Longest Dance Party” in 2006, stated that technological problems might prohibit individuals from being validated by Guinness World Records.
Kaffy, who spoke via social media, said it took almost two weeks for Guinness World Records to confirm her feat in 2006.
She wrote: “A lot of people attempt and succeed in beating timelines but don’t get verified because of technical errors.”
She prayed that technical errors would not ruin Hilda’s attempt.
