Member-elect representing Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the House of Representatives, Ismaila Yushau Maihanci, is dead.
METROWATCHXTRA.COM gathered that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker-elect took ill shortly after winning election during the February 25, 2023 National Assembly elections.
He reportedly passed on in the early hours of Saturday in the hospital located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, where he had been hospitalised. He was 36.
Confirming his demise, spokesperson for the PDP in Taraba, Andeta’rang Irammae said the deceased will be greatly missed, describing his death as a rude shock to the PDP.
Late Maihanci served as a Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku before his election. He was also the Taraba State Secretary of the PDP.
Meanwhile, the deceased lawmaker-elect will be laid to rest on Sunday 23rd April, 2023 at his resident, 25 Hospital Road, Sintali Ward, Jalingo, Taraba State, at 9:00AM as announced by the family.
