Dr Billy Osawaru, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has won the Saturday, April 15, 2023 supplementary re-run election for Orhionmwon/Uhunmwonde Federal Constituency of Edo State.
METROWATCHXTRA.COM recalls the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared election in the federal constituency inconclusive during the March 18, 2023 polls and ordered a re-run.
In the supplementary poll conducted yesterday April 15 by INEC in the few affected units/wards of the constituency, the APC candidate garnered a total of 14,994 votes to be declared winner.
While a former speaker of the Edo Assembly and candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Elizabeth Ativie got 14,108 votes to come second, deputy speaker of the assembly and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Roland Asoro came third with 12,008 votes.
