Security officers have arrested Fredrick Nwajagu, the Igbo leader who threatened to bring members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Lagos State.
A police source, who asked not to be named, told the The Punch that the arrest was effected early Saturday morning by a team of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The source said, “A team of police and DSS went to his palace but he had already fled. He was later traced to a hotel in Ejigbo where he was arrested.”
The suspect, who holds the title of Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, threatened in a now-viral social media video that he would invite IPOB to Lagos State to protect all Igbo shops and properties.
