The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the March 18, 2023 Lagos governorship election.
Sanwo-Olu, who contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP).
While Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 762,134 votes to be returned elected, Rhodes-Vivour got 312,329 votes to emerge second.
