During Saturday’s gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections, former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo did not appear at his voting unit 22, Ward 11, Olusomi complex, Totoro, region of Abeokuta-North local government area of the state, Ogun State.

This is the first time the two-time Nigerian president has not voted in an election since 1999.

Obasanjo, who openly supported the Labour Party’s presidential candidate during the February 25 election, is now out of the country.

He is said to have left Nigeria 10 days before the governorship and state assembly elections and has yet to return.
