Festus Keyamo, the Presidential Campaign Council spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticised the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for their demonstration in Abuja.
According to Keyamo, the protest was really a burial procession headed by undertakers who refused to zone before the presidential election.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, staged a protest at the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, against the outcome and results announced.
INEC named Bola Tinubu of the APC the winner of the presidential election after he defeated Atiku and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Nonetheless, Atiku and his party were critical of the election, claiming that it was riddled with anomalies and electoral misconduct.
Keyamo, on the other hand, criticized the PDP leaders for wearing black outfits during the demonstration.
In a series of tweets, Keyamo wrote: “The adorning of black dresses by the PDP leaders in their protest to INEC office did the right thing because the event was actually a funeral procession.
“The undertakers of PDP who refused to adhere to the principle of zoning took the corpse to the gates of INEC for proper burial.
“If you observe the way a spokesman for PDP cries like a baby every minute on video, you will realise that his entire bogus life and future depended on their warped expectation of Atiku’s victory.
“That is what happens to you when you venture into politics without a second address.”
