Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has won the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State in the last Saturday presidential and national assembly elections.

Mr. Obi defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the PDP-controlled state, and his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While the former Anambra governor polled 331,163 votes, the APC’ Tinubu came second with 144,471 votes, while Atiku’s PDP emerged third with 89,585 votes.

The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso took the fourth position with NNPP 2,743 votes.
