JUST IN | Peter Obi Leads Tinubu in Lagos with 32,657 Votes

*As INEC announces 17 of 20 LGAs' results

The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in last Saturday’s presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi, is leading in Lagos State with more votes than the APC flag bearer, Alhaji Bola Tinubu.

Obi has recorded 449,088 votes while Tinubu has so far polled 416,431 votes from the 17 local government areas already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Results from three more local government areas would be announced today from 10 O’clock this morning Nigeria Time.

However, the APC candidate is leading in number of local governments so far declared. He has won 10, while Obi has 7 in his kitty.

Tinubu has so far been declared winner of  Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland and Surulere LGAs, while Obi was returned as winner in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo and Somolu.

Breakdown of some of the results:

1. Lagos Mainland LGA

APC – 20,030

PDP – 3,005

LP – 18,698

NNPP – 257

Total valid votes: 43,095

Total number of rejected votes: 2,204

Total number of votes cast: 45,299

2. Epe LGA

APC – 19,867

LP – 3,497

NNPP – 76

PDP – 5221

Total valid votes: 29,222

Total number of rejected votes: 1,356

Total number of votes cast: 30,578

3. Lagos Island LGA

APC – 27,760

LP – 3,058

NNPP – 79

PDP – 2521

Total valid votes – 33,886

Total number of rejected votes – 1,052

Total votes cast – 34,934

4. Ibeju-Lekki LGA

APC – 14,685

LP – 10,410
