(ANALYSIS)

We note with amusement efforts by a losing desperate party to distort public opinion using cheap technology to doctor and re engineer audio and video recordings.

This last-minute effort is a clear indication of the growing realisation that the game is over.

After years of misrule, now confronted with the reality of no records to campaign with they are resorting to fake news to deceive Nigerians.

The PDP has conducted a dignified and issues-oriented campaign in the face of ceaseless, unrelenting, and vicious personal attacks, blackmail, and dubious attempts at impersonation.

Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa remain focused and committed to the task of recovering Nigeria and ensuring peaceful and successful elections as a necessary step for the task ahead.

To be sure, our adherence to an issues-based and dignified campaign should not be misconstrued as incapacity to storm the barricades. We are ready.

It is an offence to spread fake news in the electoral act and our forensic experts are already locating the source(s) of the circulating fake news and we will share the same with Law Enforcement Agencies.

We ask all our supporters to remain calm and prepare to head to the poll units tomorrow. The decision of who leads Nigeria will be made at the polls not behind software applications.
