Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, has come under fire from Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, the former governor of Kano State and senator for Kano Central Senatorial District, who called Tinubu a candidate stuck in the past.
“I wonder, how a Presidential candidate, who is boasting that he knows what is happening in his country, could not simply comprehend when an election that he is participating in would hold, this is a serious backlash on him,” he said.
Shekarau said, “Tinubu while on a Campaign trail had said that the election would hold on January 25, indicating seriously that he is a Presidential Candidate living in the past, how can Nigerians trust this person with their mandates?”
Atiku Abubakar of the PDP is quite prepared for the election, according to Shekarau, who stated this during a news conference in Kano.
He claimed that after winning the election, his candidate, Atiku, plans to focus on five key areas.
Atiku Abubakar will unite the nation, he said.
On devolution of powers, he said, “the Federal Government will be concerned with monitoring and supervision of the States, while States would be allowed to operate freely with more allocations, this way Nigeria will come out of the woods.”
